Tantrums

I have never seen a child Isaac's age have so many tantrums! This last week had been hard on all of us due to my best friends wedding, but come on! TANTRUMS!?!
There were a few times that I thought that rolling on the floor screaming might make me feel better.

Any who - Even 8 month old children love the chicken dance and the hokey pokey. =)

Getting Around

He's learned how to use his little car truck.. what ever it is. He walks all over the house now. And if you don't walk him around with him holding on to your hands he will have a tantrum. He wants to walk so bad.

I think he is starting to teeth really bad now. He hasn't been sleeping well the last few nights. Poor kid.

Nothing new other than that. He's been enjoying all his toys he got for Christmas and trying to learn how to walk.

Some pretty cool firsts

So we were planning on leaving at 10am on Wednesday, so that Isaac will nap for half the trip. We didn't end up leaving until almost noon due to Christopher's mom running late [she sort of had a valid excuse]. So Isaac only slept for oh, an hour the whole 4 hour trip. He screamed probably 2 of the hours and played quietly for an hour of the trip. Once we got there, he did really well until we go to find out right before dinner that he's probably got a bit of an issue going potty. So since Christopher's Mom and Aunt were at the grochery store we had them pick up some yummy prune stuff. Poor Isaac was not feeling well at all. The prunes worked so fast, haha. He was feeling better in no time. Every one played with him for a while and then we put him to bed. He fell asleep too fast, I knew at that point it was going to be a tough night. Eventually he was going to wake up and say no more. Man, was I right! Around 1am he started screaming and just wouldn't calm down, so I fed him and he screamed probably until almost 3am. At that point I was so worried about keeping Christopher's Grandparents up, certainly his Grandmother because she had to work early in the morning. Around 4am, Isaac started screaming again. He only screamed for about 30 minutes that time, but still. So in the morning I got him up fed him changed him and we played together for 2 hours! No being fussy at all! GG is what we are going to call her so that Isaac will call her that, has the closet doors in the T.V. room thats all mirror. Isaac loved them! He spent an hour at least standing against them playing with his reflection. On the way out there, at the time I thought it was a fluke, was he was taking the blanket and playing peekaboo with me. Then when he was playing with the mirror he was playing peekaboo with himself! He learned how to play peekaboo!! Then when GG got home from work, she said she heard Isaac crying but she fell back asleep right away and it didn't bother her. WOW. Made me feel better. Sort of. Well she was standing in the kitchen eating some yogurt and Isaac wanted some so bad so she gave him some. HE LOVED IT! After that we headed to a small boonie town called Parker to visit some friends/family of GG's and Christopher's Mom. It was an hour drive and Isaac slept the whole time! It was a beautiful drive out there. When we were there, Christopher's Mom had brought some Hawaiin rolls to serve with her Spinach dip and she had given Isaac a bite of the roll and again HE LOVED IT! I was a little iffy about it at first, worried that he would choke on it, but those rolls disolve faster than Isaac's dissolving baby treats haha. On the way back we stopped at Aunt Judy's place so she could see Isaac and he absolutely loved her fireplace. Haha. It was warm and was bright and flashy haha it was too cute. We decided not too earlier than that to leave that night instead of the next morning so that Isaac will sleep the whole trip. So we then went back to GG's house and packed up and left and guess what!! Isaac slept almost the whole time!!!

So for his firsts over the weekend:
1 - Peekaboo
2 - Out of state trip
3 - Tried real food, yogurt and Hawaiin rolls!

Now for all of Isaacs cool Christmas gifts!
From Me and Daddy:
~That cool walker thing that he can sit on and push around or walk behind it and walk around.
~Cardboard books! 5 Little Monkeys Jumpin On The Bed and some Dr. Suesse ones!
~ This really cool sports ball set, it has a plastic basketball, soccer ball, football, and baseball. The base ball when shaken makes noises.
~His first set of blocks! They come in a little bucket thing and he can figure out the shapes fit into slots [I know hes still young but who knows].
~Stacking cubes
~This wierd other toy that I saw my friend Lori's kids having you push on the top of it and I guess it blows air into it and little balls bounce around.
From my Parents:
~This cool train that has a Giraffe, Elephant, and a monkey with it and when you press the smoke stack it sings songs and if its set right it will actually move across the floor.
~Clothes of course
~This Elmo/Cookie monster ball that when you press the button they talk/giggle and the ball vibrates and bounces around.
~A toy guitar!
~From Chris's family: [I don't remember who gave him what]
~A rocking cow!
~A fire engine that he can sit on and play with and cruise around
~clothes
~a telephone
~This cd player looking thing that plays songs
~Gramma Lori bought him some dissolvable treats

I think there was more. But I honestly don't remember.

So, I think Isaac is going to start crawling soon. He's ready. Just need to stop getting so mad when he's in the crawling position.

First Christmas

This lil' man made bank for his first Christmas. He was grumpy most of the time because of the toy overload and all the people. But he's going to L O V E some of his new toys.

We are heading out for a few days to Arizona, his first big car trip and first time to Arizona. So I will list all the cool toys he got when we get back!

WISH US LUCK!

Re-learning Some Old Words

After getting "Mama" down pat, he started on "Dada" and "Baba" again. Doesn't say "Baba" much, but he's getting the hang of "Dada" pretty well. There are some other mixes he is doing, one sounds like he is saying "Yeah" and the others, I don't even know. Baby babble is too cute.

Tonight starts off Isaac's first Christmas, with us heading over to my parent's house for dinner and opening some gifts over there. Then tomorrow morning, he gets to open gifts from Mommy and Daddy, then it is off to Christopher's parent's house for gift opening and dinner - which my parents are joining too.

I hope Isaac has a good time, with him teething - I believe - again he's been super grumpy.

He also has figured out how to turn over in his sleep and the last week has been waking up to him screaming because he has woken up finding himself on his tummy. I have no idea what I can do to prevent it. It's frustrating and sad, and I worry that he might smother himself or something.

Talking Again

Well now that he's got cruising down he decided on Sunday to start up with the "MMmmm" again, then he said "Mama" and ever since then he's been doing it more and more everyday.

He had a fun day in his crib. I really needed to get some cleaning done in his room so I set him in there and he cruised around it for a good 45 minutes, then sat down and played. I got a good amount done. But it doesn't look like it haha.

We did a little photo shoot today. That was so much fun, he loves doing that. Let's see if I can get some of them on here.

There he is the king on his throne!

And here he is playing in the crib, looks like he's having a blast!
By the way, Isaac is now 7 months old and 3 weeks haha. <3

Dancing

So while I was out shopping with my Mom at Toys R Us we found this singing drumming Christmas Elmo. It was too cute. So I bought it and took it home for Isaac because I knew he likes Elmo. Well he will stand at the coffee table and dances with it and laughs too! He loves that thing. I on the other hand, after about 3 days now am getting tired of it. How long until Christmas is over and I can pack it away? Sheesh. Haha, just kidding... Maybe.

He's starting to cruise to the right now, only rarely though. He's been experimenting with it too, like tonight he was going in circles, to the couch - to the table - to the couch - to the table. He was so amused by it. Then he decided to go to the laundry basket then to the table - laundry basket - table.

I have been trying to get him to have more fun on his tummy or hands and knees. He's getting more tolerant. Last night I put him on his tummy and he crawled... erh... well scooted backwards about 7 feet before he got mad. He played with some toys along the way. Then I did it again today, he didn't get too far that time.

Another cold???

Man this kid is going to be like me, where he has to have a ton of colds during the cold season. Makes me just a little irritated. He only gets a runny/stuffy nose and some sneezing. No fever or anything, but still. He gets so grouchy!

He's been really working hard on his cruising. He's getting much, much better at it.

It's so funny how he's been concentrating so much on walking that he hasn't done much talking. No "bababa, gagaga, mamama, dadada" at all lately. Then tonight he went "yah". It was too cute for words.

He's also starting to pretend to share. If that makes any sense. I think he knows we won't eat his food or drink out of his bottle but he will stick his hand out and look at you like "here, have some". He did that twice today. Once this morning when I was feeding him, he pretty much put the bottle in my face and gave me that look, so I took it and pretended to drink from it, he was so pleased. He just went right back to chewing on the nipple part after that. Then at dinner, I have been giving him what's called a Biter Biscuit from Gerber, he absolutely loves those things, well right after he started eating it he looked at me with that look again and tried handing me his cookie [that's what we decided to call it]. So then Christopher asked if he could have some and Isaac literally looked at him and laughed. I wish I had my camera for that one.

His first...

Isaac got to go to his first parade this morning, he had so much fun!!! He loved the horses and the bands and nothing scared him! It was too cute seeing him sit on a blanket on the side of the road all bundled up watching everything go by!

His aunt Missy took him to a birthday party today too, from what I heard he had a good time playing with a little girl who is about a week and a half younger.

He's making progress on his sleeping, he didn't get to nap much today because of everything that was going on, but, when it was time to go to bed for the night, he went to sleep with absolutely no fussing at all! I fed him, put him in his crib, turned on the mobile and I am going to assume he was already asleep or very close to it by then. He had just turned his head and slept. Makes a long tiring day better at the end when you don't have to fight him to sleep. <3
